A NEW AGE

A new age began with the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

His bodily resurrection, which took place three days after He had been crucified on a cross, was evidence that God was satisfied with the payment which Jesus had made-for sin. A new age had dawned. Forgiveness had been purchased for His people. God, the Father, had expended His wrath against their sins on His only begotten Son. The bill was fully paid by Him in their place.

A new age had begun. All of the Old Testament promises, pictures, and prophecies about Jesus' life and death had been fulfilled in the minutest detail. The Law of God had been satisfied. Atonement for infractions had been made. The sacrifices, the altars, circumcision, the human priesthood, the feast days were all past. Jesus' work replaced them all. They were but illustrations of His coming work.

A new age had begun. The Holy Spirit would unleash new power. The apostles would preach and multitudes would suddenly be converted to Jesus. The good news would no longer be primarily limited to Israel. It would be heralded far and wide into the gentile world. Millions would come to Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins, an imputed righteousness, and heaven instead of hell.

This new age is still continuing, and will do so until Jesus Christ comes again. Then He will finally usher His own into its continuation in heaven, where the best is yet to be.

Are you part of this new age movement? Do you belong to Jesus? Has His living and dying satisfied God's justice fin your behalf?  Do you know that He came from His Glory to live and die for you, so that you know you've been-forgiven, and that you're on your way to heaven?

Has a new age of repentance and conversion taken place in your life? Do you have the faith that saves your soul from the wrath of an offended God, and that saves you from being a slave to sin?

These are pertinent questions in view of II Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a dew; creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

God grant that a new age may dawn in your life.
